Hi, I have a question about building codes for water closets in a residential home. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

For a water closet, the IPC says minimum 21" from the front of the toilet to the wall/door.

405.3.1
"There shall be not less than a 21-inch (533 mm) clearance in front of a water closet, urinal, lavatory or bidet to any wall, fixture or door."

Simple enough for a square water closet. Line X in this drawing:

If the door is on a diagonal, to which point do you measure the 21"? The closest point of the door (line A) or to the furthest (line B)?

Thanks in advance.
