Deck building footer

I have attached my post layout below all posts are 6x6 and 36 inches deep. My main question is should I place my 6x6 on a 8-12 inch footer or set the post and pour concrete around it ?

I just built a deck and poured my footings and then used a post anchor to attach post to footing. Used the anchors that are raised up about a 1/2" so post is not in direct contact with footing. Down the road if your posts ever need to be redone, it is a lot easier to replace than having to rip out the post that is in the footing.
