Condensor fan replacement issues

Hi all,new to this so here goes,I replaced a model 5KCP39DF AB18CS two speed fan motor with a mode SA70152 US single speed which was a direct replacement,of course all the wires are not the same color,we connected all thru trial and error and fan works on AC but not on heat,there is one wire not connected,the instructions are a little vague,the wire is a brown with white stripe,should this one connect to capacitor ? The heat pump is a Goodman ASH 130301AD,thanks,Dean

The brown and brown striped wires are to go to the run capacitor for the motor. You have to check your wiring to be sure the motor is wired correctly. If incorrect you could burn up the motor.
