I know there is a few of you out there with concrete experiance, professional and/or DIY.
I am a DIY concrete layer looking for tips.
I put in a suggestion to this site to start a concrete topic so we will see if the web hoster/s start one.
Anyway let me know what members out there are willing to share some ideas and tips.
Here is a start,

Home made screed what works best without spending big money on a big wide one.
portland, sand rock ratios anyone vary from 1-2-3? Hows the durability?
rebar size
rebar or mesh, anyone use hog panels?

I don't quite understand your comment,
"What do I want to concrete for?"

I have a lot of concrete projects I would like to do eventually. Sidewalk, garage skirt, slab for kids pool, just to name a few.

My thread here is just for opinions from other DIY concrete people.
