I just finished putting a 10 inch exhaust fan in my garage ceiling which is vented to the outside. Now I want to add an intake vent about 6 inches off the garage floor. To do this I would like to remove one of my 8 by 16 inch cinder blocks. Can I get away with this without compromising the entire cinder block wall. My garage only has an attic above it.

Taking one block out of a wall isn't normally a problem because of the bonding of the blockwork.
