Asbestos Cement garage roof Q

In a stupid lapse of reason I carefully removed the moss form a corrugated garage roof, which is , on reflection probably made of asbestos cement.

I hosed it down when the penny dropped to suppress any dust.

Nothing I can do about this now, but should I seal the now exposed surface or leave it alone ?

before hosing I could see some fibers in the cement, but they appeared to be still connected to the cement.

Most of the moss was loose but some did have light cement in its roots, so I assume took some of the surface off.

SO, was a big mistake, but would like to know the best thing to do now. Maybe I'm overly concerned, but anyone else done similar or had similar experience ?

Thanks

I wouldn't like you to go by my advise as this is a very awkward subject. I think asbestos is generally fairly safe until it is disturbed or broken.

I would probably consult an asbestos specialist - they should be easily findable on the net. Only specialit contractors can remove it, if you are concerned that you have damaged it.
