Alternative to heavy Concrete Lintels ?

Hi all
I have 2 burst Concrete Lintels above my patio doors in my Kitchen and Bedroom. Patio doors are 3 Metre openings and the roof is a flat roof with EPDM rubber coating. Walls are single 6" blocks. Was looking to replace the Lintels but wondered is there a lighter alternative to heavy concrete lintels. Can I use the steel box lintels like on IG lintels website ? Are they suitable for harling over if installed ?

Steel box lintels can be used but main problem using them is rusting, if exposed to moisture. So, to inhibit that paint the type of material you are using with rust-inhibitor.
