I am building a 12x12 shed on 4ea treated 4x4 skids with a subfloor using treated 2x4's on 16" centers, and 3/4 plywood floor. I want to use 2x4's to keep the shed to ground level lower. From what I have been reading, a 2x4 can support the 4ft spread between the 4x4 skids. Anyone see an issue with this?
thanks

For a garden shed, I see it as being fine. I suspect your not rolling around heavy equipment in there....heaviest thing would be a rototiller or a snowblower. Either of these would produce a point load. If your unsure, put the "floor joist" 2x4's on 12" centers.
