Plastic Barrel Canoe, Giving My canoe a good ribbing.

I am new here but just wanted to share about a plastic canoe I built about 18 years ago out of plastic barrels. I used untreated wooden ribs which are now rotting away. I came up with a plan after watching a video on pvc bow making. I thought I could make the ribs by heating and flattening the pvc pipe and then reheat to bend to the shape of me canoe and then screw them in place. I think its going to work out wonderfully. This canoe has already proven itself as being tough rugged even with everyday use on gravel bars, its tougher than a $2 steak.
