What type of wall is this? - Pre War building - Need advice on fastener to use

Dear fellow DIY'ers

Need expert advice on the type of wall that you see below (image attached)? This is a pre-war building in New York. I need to mount my bike (20-30 Pounds) and need a suggestion on the best fastener to use for this job. The plastic fasteners did not hold up.

Welcome to the forum DIY_Drew.

I'm unsure as to what your wall is constructed of but here are fasteners that will hold up considerable weight and are easy to install; drill correct sized hole; push in and tighten. Good luck.
