Freddie Kruger killed my wooden floor

Help! My wooden floors look like Freddie Kruger breakdanced all over them. I’m not even sure what wood it is, but they are covered with white scratches and nasty scuffs (thanks kids!). Is there any way to cover repair these scratches without sanding the entire floor? You advice would be hugely appreciated. Happy Halloween!
