My Maytag MDB7759AWS2 is leaking a little in the float area. Can anybody help me with following two questions, please:
Practical.
When I pull the float up it does not want to go, I figure it has something like a knob at the bottom of the connecting rod as in the attached picture. Do I need to pull harder so float snaps out or I have to release it from below?
What happens if knob is removed (broken off)?
Theoretical.
How does float seal work (against splashing water)? Why would float start leaking?
