Hi, this is my first time posting on here so please excuse my stupidity but l can perhaps blame it on my seventy one years of trying to solve all my problems myself but this one has me confused.
The problem revolves around some garden lights we bought last year, they had stopped working so l assumed that three new batteries would solve the issue, unfortunately not and this is where l need help. Will the three batteries be connected in parallel making a total of 1.5 volts with a greater capacity or will the batteries be connected in series giving a total voltage of 1.5 + 1.5 + 1.5 = 4.5 volts.
With the battery casing being sealed it’s impossible to measure the voltage leaving the battery casing. Many thanks to anybody who reads this question .?
Regards, Cliff.
