Thats what I thought also. The runtime will vary with the quantity of gas in the tank and it can seem perplexing. The less gas and more air in the sealed tank, the longer it will run before the vacuum starves the carb.2 possibilities. #1- vapor lock.This is unlikely but possible. #2- the gas cap vent may be plugged. This is far more likely. It runs until there is a vacuum created in the tank which stops the flow of fuel.
