hi there
i am having to paint my ceiling following a small leak, but am not sure how best to go about it.

As the ceiling is quite large should paint around all the edges first even if this means they would be dry before i start to roll the ceiling

when rolling the ceiling i have seen that you should do in managble squares overlapping so the paint does not dry and make patches.

Am i right in thinking that i should roll towards the light.

a How 2 would be great

thanks for your help

My preference is ---

Use a [say] 100+mm. wide brush for the edges paint all along one wall, the short one [if there is one?]

Paint along the two side walls for about 2.m

Roller in long strips from the already edged [short] wall, this way, you are always on a "wet edge"

I have found that over time you can get fairly accurate with a roller, to the extent that at times the converse of the above can happen in that, take the roller to [say] 25.mm from the wall and use a smaller brush to fill the last strip.

Hope this makes sense ?

Ken.
