My daughter has a 110 year old house that has no loft insulation, it's a semi.
She has had a quote of £4500, where they would screw new timber to existing timbers and lay a membrane on top and lay 200mm of roll down insulation.
Firstly I have no idea if this quote is about right??
I was hoping to lay rock wool between the joists, but now understand this might cause damp??
Could we just lay down 200mm insulation??
There are air vent in the tacit boards.
