Hello fellow enthusiasts!
My name is Jason - I am a network technology specialist, Ele/JHS instructor, and family man with a passion for DIY projects. I have been passionate about DIY since about the age of 6 or 7, when my father set me in a large wooden crate of discarded technology at his work and handed me a screwdriver - unsupervised. The first few days of this was basically just me popping transistors, resistors, and other circuitry off of any circuit boards i could disassemble - but this eventually grew into a thirst for trying to reassemble the things that I had disassembled. Before I knew it, I was already popping keys off of the keyboard and reattaching them (though grossly out of order), and reassembling old radios I had taken apart in previous days.
Later on, my father continuously allowed me to help with various DIY home improvement projects over the years, teaching me the fundamental skills of the different trades which was just like pouring gasoline on my fiery passion for DIY. Today, I am a proud father of two boys, a teacher at both an Elementary and Junior High School, and have my very own DIY storage and building area (HUGE thanks to my wife for supporting my passion rather than getting pissed about the messes I tend to make when working on projects... haha). Recently I also managed to build up enough courage to start posting videos of my projects on Youtube (link to my channel is in my profile's website link). As of writing this, I have one video completed - with one more in the making. I hope to be able to grow my audience and expand into new horizons in the future!
I hope to learn many new things here, and eventually (perhaps) teach a thing or two myself and share the knowledge that I have with others!
Cheers,
Jason
