I have just fitted a Siemens timer/programmer to the Baxi Bermuda 552 as there never was one there as it had to be manually switch on all the time so I have changed it for my mother to make life easier for her.
It all went it perfect and all wired up correct, the thing is when you turn on the heating, the pump runs but the boiler doesn't light up, the pilot light is a light, I'm wondering what it could be?

Are you sure that you have wired it correctly ? the boiler needs a switched supply and from memory it enters a socket screwed to the boiler base which in turn has a plug in it leading to the boiler stat and then to the gas valve it should be easy enough to check for 240v there.

PS Depending on the fire fitted it may also have a permanent 240v supply for lights on the fire.
