Van Racking

Hi guys,

I work as an electrician and possess a van, which I use for work. I take a lot of tools with me each time, which I pack into few toolboxes. I got an idea to build racks inside the van. There is also an opportunity to buy ready plastic racks, like these ones:

I am actually a passionate carpenter as well, but I do not have so much time for it.

How would you estimate the time one needs to build such racks from wood? 2-3 days?

If it is more than one weekend, I would better buy them

Hi Steven, welcome to the forums .

Yes, I'd guess it would take a couple of days to build it, at most. If you've got your tools in cases already, you may be able to just build shelving to support them. I've got MDF and Ply shelving racks for Stanley sortmasters, and that works well .
