So our oil fired central heating has developed an annoying fault and looking for ideas on what the problem is.
The boiler keeps "locking out", worse when it's hot and running for a while than when it's cold. It fires up as soon as the lock out is reset and then runs for anything from 30 seconds to a couple of hours.
It seems to be better when it hasn't been on and it's cold.
The boiler was serviced a couple of months ago and plenty of oil. Doesnt look like any air locks in the flexi pipe.
The rads have always taken a while to heat up so could it be the actual CH pump?
Any ideas?
