  1. Anyone used the Warmboard product yet? I'm contemplating adding
hydronic heat to my basement and if I can overlay with this product,
that would be a lot easier than busting up concrete or pouring another
slab on top of the current slab. I may just go with electric as I don't
need all that much heat as my basement is mostly heated with forced air
anyway. Trouble is the HVAC contractor miscalculated and the basement
doesn't have enough registers in the floor so the temp runs 10-15
degrees lower than the first floor. I could add additional ceiling
registers, the idea of having warm floors is appealing.

I have an email into Warmboard, but likely won't hear from them until
after the holidays, and I'd also like to get some firsthand user
experience in any event. If you've used it, what did you pay for it?

I've installed it in one customer's house(new) and it is a good product but
it's not really for retrofit. It comes in 4x8 sheets and is 1 1/8" thick.
You might want to try the Climate Panel from Stadler-Viega or similar. I
paid $ 8.50 sq. ft. Canadian.
