Im in the process of redecorating my kitchen. Having knocked out my airing
cupboard and larder the floor is now uneven. I would like to know what is
best to put onto the floor before i have cushion flooring fitted or will the
fitter apply something for me.
Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers.
Alf.

The fitter of vinyl floor will lay nothing for you to level it out. Are you
talking about a solid floor?

Can you give us some idea of just how uneven it is? It may be possible to
put a bit of self-levelling compound down but that is not possible if the
floor is particularly uneven.

In that case, if it is a solid floor, it would be necessary to either remove
the existing concrete or to over skim with a screed.

Hope that helps.
