Lidl battery charger repair

You may remember that in another post i commented that i had a FOC
replacement for the failed Ultimate speed charger.
Dismantled the old one today and the cause of the failure was the cheap
DPST/PTM switch, pity such nice electronics let down by a 10p switch.
Works fine now, and i have two for the price of one :)

Nice one. Do you have a part number etc for the switch replacement - there
seem to be thousands of variations.

It’s a 6x6mm Momentary SPST (not DP as i originally said) like this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180732232689 first hit on ebay you may find
better.
i have binned the original but the button length is about 4mm
i salvaged mine from a dead freeview box, it may be easer to get one with a
6mm button and cut a bit off then trying to add a few mm like i had to.
With mine the fault was with it connected to a battery and powered up the
red standby light lit but pressing the menu button had no effect YFMV.

Replacing the miniature push button with a spare one from a toaster fixed the problem. I was also suspecting the button at first but I thought it would be too straightforward.

Thanks!
