Your the baldor expert so thought might be more familiar with their website
and so possibly able to definitively ID the bearing specs for this one
before I pull it for service :

215t6 series 296, its a c-face and rated @10 hp. --bearings aren't listed on
the dataplate--no other info here till at least tomorrow...

Some part of the statement "I found out that the problem was elsewhere" is
obviously too complex for your fucking pea brain.

Saw you found another problem... and you didn't say more specifics like
TEFC or ODP or volts/phases.

Here's a common one: http://tinyurl.com/s5srf

Let me know if that's not it... you should have the numbers for future
reference, anyhow (-;.

Jake, Thx.

Close...but..

The face has been machined away by the oem...so hard to say exactly what it
is/was...

I just put up some photos here :

http://www.kalamaprecision.com/spinmtr/

But no biggee, turns out it was spindle bearings...the motor itself is just
fine.

Had to input a pulse stream to the controller in order to operate without
the drive belt attached--( even though there's an encoder on the motor,
there's also a magnet on the driven sheave...pulses a sensor in order to
singal fault alarm in the case of belt breakage )

There should be a Baldor spec. number on the nameplate. Let me know and
I can tell you if it's OEM or not.

Sorry, but I simply couldn't resist...

And....aww...beings as that one was well beyond limits of "fucking stump
stupid"...

===

Now, here's a free clue for Dildo......

I mostly just make the tools and shit...one-off models, etc...actual
production generally goes to wherever the cheap labor presently resides at
the moment....

I'm one of the few that actually MAKES the things that are used to make all
the discombobulators and shit that make all the thingamagigs and what-nots
that goes into the making of all the other stuff that exist in the world
today.

And you are a moronic asshole, so now suggest just learn to deal with it.

Jake,

Rebuilt the spindle but the drive motor was still a bit noisey, esp between
~5 and 6k rpm, so while I was at it decided to pull and replace those
bearings too while I was at it....they was a 6307 and a 6206--both em are
about as common as dirt.

FWIW, looks like modified 215 TC...pump or gearmotor type. frame..vent
louvers in both bells, but with rotor shaft as in a tefc...it's doing 4:1
inverter service, and so the original fan was removed and a 220v muffin fan
within a fabbed sheetmetal shroud was placed on top instead.

And where the std tefc shaft driven fan would have otherwise gone, a short
portion of the shaft was turned down to accept the mylar ttl encoder disc
instead--I'm only mentioning this to you because it's an relatively easy mod
for in the case you might ever need discrete feedback that's several hundred
orders of magnitude finer than outputting a single pulse / rev.

You stupid ass...the whole assembly suddenly began squealing like freaking
ambulance siren...I eventually locacalized the vibration source using
ultrasonic, and then further verified by mechanically isolating the driven
load...spinning it up with an alternate power source.

Now suggest you go lie in the middle of the nearest freeway and continue
with licking your fucking balls.

keyboard protectors are a necessary evil for reading this group. I have to
even keep my monitor covered. Sometimes I laugh so hard the snot flies all
over the place.Haven't tossed the cookies on the keyboard yet even
figuratively. Only sneaky tinyurl's to tub girl get the feeling that might
happen.

Bubba, I liked your statement on self pride and the need to keep training.
That is more important than anything to me as well.
