Hi there. Going to install a new evaporative cooler for the house but not sure what size I should go for.
I am looking into cooling 1675 sq.ft. or 6700 cfm. Now, my old evap cooler was using a 17 3/4" roof jack and when I removed the old cooler I measured the vertical duct that attaches from the jack to the main trunk. It measures 19" x 19".
The 5000 cfm Mastercool, which has an opening of 17 3/4" x 17 3/4", appears to be undersized and the 7000 cfm Mastercool, which has an opening of 19 3/4" x 19 3/4", seems more in line with what I need.
Would it be a problem installing the 7000 cfm unit onto a 19" x 19" duct and is it recommended or would the 5000 cfm really be undersized and be able to do the job?
I look forward to any answer that could help me decide.
Thank you.
