We are building a fence to keep our dog in and other dogs out. We ruled out chain link, as we have had this and did not like it. We designed a wooden fence consisting of horizontal slats of differing widths, but never pulled the trigger on it. Looking around the web, we found several examples of stiff hog wire fencing put in a frame and attaching those frames to the posts. The effect is a nice wood and metal combination. My question is what type of stain and sealant should i use?
