Help building my own desktop monitor

So, recently I started thinking about building my own computer screen. I already know which panel to take, I have the 27" case and I already own a power suply (if I'll even need one). The only thing I can't seem to find is a good display controller, I searched everywhere, but the only things I found were oversized advertisement controllers and some low quality chineese stuff (not counting all the special purpose controllers which aren't suitable for me). I also noticed that manufacturers make their own
In other words: I need a good display controller or even better a website where I can choose one like how panelook is for panels.

In short: I need a display controller or a website that sells them which can cover the following specs:

1440p 16:9 120/144hz (doesn't really matter)

Also, for those who ask me why I don't just buy one, I like doing things myself, I don't like the stupid design that looks like a christmas tree on my table which manufacturers use, and finally it ended up being much cheaper than I expexted it to be.
