Had an engineer visit and rectify this, he said as the switch was broken he needed to basically allow the current from the capacitor to drain away, the red light would go out and then the boiler would fire up. This it did for a few days, but now I have the red ignition lockout light on again. He shouldn't have said this, but suggested I could take out a (green?) wire, and that would do the same job. But for the life of me can't remember which colour for definite, and anyway none of them seem to want to come out easily. Could do without having to pay an excess of £99 to get him to come out again!!! Thanks
