We have a very old and small 2 bed terraced cottage with solid stone floors up and down. Installing a bathroom for the first time, we are looking at hot water supply options. Has anyone had experience of electric tankless hot water systems? Thanks.

We use a tank-less gas system (Puloma brand) at our cabin. I imagine the electric would even be more convenient as it wouldn't need venting. These tank-less systems work well but you will have to run the water for a short while before it starts coming through hot. The volume of water they produce is somewhat less than you could pull from a tank so you may need a low flow shower head if installing a shower. The only downside I can think of is that a larger tank-less system may require special wiring and a plug - just check this before buying.
