Hi everyone,

I woke up to this dust-like material blown out of the floor vents. The house is only a few months old and I'm not sure what to make of this. The filter was in place and didn't need to be changed.

We've been running the heat for 3 months and this hasn't happened before.

A couple weeks ago I vacuumed out all of the vents of the leftover construction debris. (From what I could see near the opening), so it this dust isn't something that was sitting near the vent opening.

One vent had most of the dust blown out but the others had a bit as well.

I've uploaded a couple photos.

Thanks!

According to my opinion, there could be two problems i.e.

1) Your air filter is not catching the dust: Check your home AC’s air filter. If you have not changed it in a while but it’s still free of dust, that may be a bad thing. That means the air filter may be not catching the airborne dust in your home.

2) Your air ducts are leaky

So, I would suggest you, don’t waste time to cleaning up. Call any professional near your area.
